01/25/2017 - The power of colours – new products from Dauphin Home

Colour as part of the whole: partnership with Les Couleurs Suisse AG – timeless furnishing solutions from Dauphin Home in the unique Le Corbusier colours / New product: “Züco Bonito” – for a homely touch in dining areas.

Cologne, January 2017. As the new products for the imm cologne 2017 once again show, the design world of Dauphin Home, a brand of the Dauphin HumanDesign Group, is timeless yet bang up to date at the same time.

Colour as part of the whole

This year, the “Bosse modul space” home furniture system offers visual variety with striking effects. In 2017, the versatile tubular furniture range will stand out with the power of Le Corbusier’s colours. When used on carcass panels and fronts, Le Corbusier’s “Architectural Polychromy” offers unlimited design potential: fascinating colour shades that – inspired by nature – have a naturally harmonious effect. All 63 shades are highly suitable for architectural use and can be combined in any way to create an impressive effect. Dauphin Home now offers customers 12 selected Le Corbusier shades for creating individual items of furniture.

Just as Le Corbusier’s fabulous designs were always based on a synthesis of architecture, interior design, furniture and colours, Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier colours captivate with their limitless options for the interaction of the room and building. In accordance with Le Corbusier’s holistic design approach, the Dauphin Home trade fair stand in Cologne will show an exciting symbiosis from the polychromic colour world with the Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier partners Anker (carpets), Arte (wallpapers) and Keim (paints).

New for the dining area: “Züco Bonito”

Dauphin Home will show the new “Züco Bonito”. Designed by Martin Ballendat, the shell chair made of laminated wood features an integrated armrest. Although the successful designer had the idea for the chair years ago, it took a special new pressing technology to get the chair off the drawing board and onto the Dauphin Home stand, where it will be presented as a complete product family for use in a wide range of settings.

The chair’s 3D seat shell is pressed two-dimensionally rather than three-dimensionally as is usually the case. As a result, the layers of veneer can be pre-cut as a long strip in the outer contour. This strip is then bent using a clever production technique. This gives the chair a simple yet very clear visual design. The armrests are integrated and curve gently outwards, signalling a warm welcome. For an elegant finish, the seat cushion slopes down slightly. As a result, it offers greater comfort and provides an individual touch.

The light and delicate new chair range for dining areas captivates with its organic, physical design. It provides a homely, sensuous touch both in the four-legged version in wood or aluminium and in the central base version with or without castors. Walnut and oak emphasise the natural feel of “Züco Bonito”. Various backrest and seat upholstery designs allow a myriad of colour and material effects for a striking, homely look.
