04/03/2017 - A “Red Dot” double bill

Two products from the Dauphin HumanDesign Group have been awarded the “Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017” for their outstanding design quality: the “Züco Bonito” wooden shell chair designed by Martin Ballendat and the “Dauphin Fiore” seminar chair from Jessica Engelhardt.

Offenhausen, April 2017. The Dauphin HumanDesign Group’s products have always been developed and produced to meet the highest standards when it comes to design, quality and function. This has led to the group winning numerous design prizes in the past. The consistently high quality of its products has now paid off once again. Not long after they were unveiled at the Orgatec 2016, the new “Züco Bonito” and “Dauphin Fiore” have received the “Red Dot Award 2017” – their first award for excellent design quality.

“ZÜCO BONITO”: A NATURAL FEEL AND A DYNAMIC DESIGN

“Züco Bonito” is the latest creation from the successful Züco/Ballendat duo. It is the ideal partner for conferences, seminars, meetings, cafeterias and restaurants. Available in a range of versions, the new easy chair has a light and delicate look. It captivates with its organic, physical design and provides a homely yet elegant touch in rooms.

Thanks to an innovative production technology, the 3D wooden seat shell can be pressed two-dimensionally rather than three-dimensionally as is usually the case and can be pre-cut and bent as a long strip in the outer contour. This gives the chair its simple yet very clear visual design. The integrated armrests curve gently outwards. The exquisite workmanship and high-quality materials leave a lasting impression. The dynamic design of the slimline wooden shell is further enhanced by the high-quality wooden surfaces in light oak or fine walnut. It impressed both visitors to the Orgatec in Cologne and, more recently, the Red Dot jury.

FURORE OVER DAUPHIN FIORE – THE AWARD-WINNING MEETING CHAIR

In terms of design, the “Dauphin Fiore” product range is every bit as good and offers versatility in every respect. Designer Jessica Engelhardt has created an all-rounder which is available in a range of versions, making it the ideal solution for use in every room. It is comfortable, functional and visually attractive, but without being too conspicuous. The simple, yet elegant seat shell conveys a sense of visual simplicity. Depending on the material and colour, it can provide bold colour contrasts or subtle design touches. The shell is available in flexible plastic, as a slim moulded wood shell and in various upholstered versions.

The jury was particularly impressed by the swivelling wooden model with a four-point base and castors. The delicate meeting chair cuts a good figure in the manager’s office and in conference areas and has now received the “Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017”.
